What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will start the tutoring process by asking the student where they feel they are struggling and where they feel they need help. This gives us a starting point for where to begin.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a middle school teacher with a Bachelors degree. I am also currently pursuing my Masters degree in Education Technology.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My tutoring sessions are $40/hr.
How did you get started teaching?
I began working with kids in college and from there I decided that this line of work was for me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think through where they feel they are struggling and what they think they need help with. This self-reflection is very important and will help teachers know how they can best help you.
