Advanced Biology Tutoring

I had Aparna as an AP Biology tutor during my junior year of high school and I can confidently say that she is the reason why I was able to do so well in that class ( I got A- in both semesters). She explains things in a way that is understandable at my level and she is patient, kind, and hard-working. Not only that, she is extremely flexible with hours and she is able to work with my school schedule. One time, I remember she let me go to her house for extra tutoring hours because I really needed the help. If I needed more hours, she definitely accommodates and does everything she can to help. She never comes to sessions unprepared and she even helped me with my Anatomy and Physiology class. Currently, I am a junior student at the School of Nursing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The study habits that Ive developed and my advance knowledge of biology and anatomy were all thanks to Aparna. I was able to build off of a great foundation for college because of my experience with Aparna. I would highly recommend her and Im so glad Ive had the chance to work with her!

I had the pleasure of working with Aparna while finishing up my undergraduate studies in Biology. Whether it was questions about murine anatomy, cellular signaling, or navigating graduate school applications, Aparna was an asset as a mentor and tutor. Her patience was appreciated as I learned many of the basic lab techniques I still use today. Not only did she teach me these complex methods and made sure I felt comfortable with the technical aspects, she always ensured I understood the underlying concepts and theories. I was truly lucky to have a resource like her while preparing for graduate school entrance exams and starting my scientific career. Throughout my career I have repeatedly used what she taught me, both in academia and (biotech) industry. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for scientific tutoring or mentorship.
