About
About Me
I love walking, reading literature, enjoying music (singing, listening, dancing). I'm learning to play piano and guitar. I like watching sci-fi, adventures, action, comedies, psychological and romantic movies or shows.
I'm 25 years old and I would love to travel more: I have been to Venezuela, Panamá and great places in Colombia.
Me as a Teacher
I have been a Spanish tutor for about 7 years. I worked at Liceo Francés for two years and half. I arrived to replace someone and in my last year I was the head of the Spanish department. I have a Bachelor of Education with a focus in Humanities and Spanish. I also have a certificate in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE).
I love learning and sharing languages and cultures with others. Teaching my mother language (Spanish) and learning French, English and Brazilian Portuguese allows me to understand different cultures. This contextualized perspective increases my vision of the world, which helps to adapt the Spanish content according to my student's needs and interest.
My Lessons & Teaching Style
Curiosity and passion for knowledge are my allies for this journey called life. Languages are a great tool to discover the stations of this journey. I hope my students have motivation and engagement for the Spanish trip.
I prepare adapted lessons for my students. In class we will be practicing the contents through conversation and analyzing dialogues in movies or shows. Other times, understanding ideas in songs and playing online quizzes for comprehension check.
I love brave students who dare to push themselves further while trying to learn from their mistakes. I will be there to support them, give them confidence, and the essential tools needed.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Presentation: we talk about their interests or needs and if the student has no specific goal in mind, but general fluency I take them on my Spanish trip.
Language can be learned from a multitude of places. I love learning languages through music, movies, shows and games online. I would love to find out your favorite topics and we can learn Spanish through a topic you love. Whether it be cooking, politics, training or traveling, I want to help you get better at talking, writing and reading about what you love.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Spanish tutor for about 7 years. I worked at Liceo Francés, an elite trilingual private academy in the suburbs of Medellín, for two and a half years. I arrived to replace someone and in my last year I was the head of the Spanish department.
I have a Bachelor of Education with a focus in Humanities and Spanish. I also have a certificate in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I consider 60 minutes will be perfect for our classes, that way we have time to learn the new topics or contents and practice them at the same time. For me is very important to listen to you and answer your questions, so 1 hour: $15 USD.
How did you get started teaching?
While I was studying my Bachelor's degree in Education, I started to tutor my cousins, then my cousins' friends, my friends' relatives, and finally in schools.
What types of students have you worked with?
My last students were the sons and daughters of doctors, lawyers, politicians and teachers. Their parents demanded a lot from their education, so the standards demanded only excellence. These are the standards I expect from my new students.
Most of my students were native Spanish speakers. I also tutored adults and kids interested in learning French. Often, I received American and French students who did not know Spanish. Liceo Francés would request I provide students with extra lessons, as my first year, I was the ELE teacher.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My students texting me or sending me voice messages applying what we have been learning in classes. Every time I see my students' progress, I am completely happy.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Synergy is the magic we are trying to create, connecting the dots of this language system. Being open to where the learning journey takes us and directing the current in a positive direction for humanity.
There needs to be a connection between the right student and the right teacher for the synergy to perform. I would recommend a student search thoroughly for a well-matched teacher.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students have to think about: why are they learning Spanish? What are their goals? Do they have the engagement and motivation to learn or improve their Spanish?
