I am currently a high school teacher for an SDC English class. I have been working here for 2 years. Previously, I worked as a substitute teacher in all subjects, at all academic levels, including students with disabilites.
I love working with students and helping them to understand what they need to learn. Seeing the students make connections is exciting and encouraging.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work to see what the student has accomplished. Understanding the benefits of the state standards allows me to build on the students current knowledge and help them to continue to grow. Working from there, I help the students to build on their prior knowledge to help them to learn new skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my teaching credential. I have taught in a variety of settings as a substitute teacher for 3 years, and I have worked as a full time teacher in a class for 2 years.
