His guidance has not only strengthened my confidence in the subject but also allowed me to achieve a passing score. He focused on the history of mathematics, starts with basic concepts, then tailors the session to meet my personal needs. I wouldn’t be where I am today without his support." Read more

Fun fact: I can say the dialogue from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by heart. I also speak three languages! Hi, I'm Christa, and I love working with students. Tutoring is incredibly rewarding, especially when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I studied Mathematics at Wayne State University and have been tutoring for 2 years. At SoFlo, we want to raise grades, strengthen understanding, and increase confidence. Math and Science tend

I have years of experience working with children and helping them learn, whether it be social/emotional or academic. I have unique insight into ADHD minds, as I myself have ADHD. I also have a great understanding of many other learning differences such as dyslexia, reading comprehension disorder and autism. I give each of my students my undivided attention and discover how they truly learn best. I ask myself which combination of kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and reading/writing teaching do my students need in order to thrive? I understand that students need to have a positive relationship with their teacher. Studies have shown that it fuels ...

Students go back to good grades again, K-8th, with the online academic programs I offer. Students receive understanding in reading, writing and math to the point that allows them to move onto the next level each year as well as learning and exhibiting the behaviors that support their learning as well as developing the executive functioning skills that they need in order to focus, persevere through challenging content, be self-disciplined and much much more. As a student myself, I struggled immensely from K-12 and so from my own direct experience as a child not receiving what I needed, I now know what students need in every predicament they...

Hi, I'm Bishal. Thank you for viewing my profile and considering me the best fit for your job. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California in 2022 and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Structural Engineering at San Jose State University. I realized that the classes I appreciated most were not necessarily the topics I was most interested in. Rather, it was the professors who made the classes entertaining. These professors were always engaging and comprehensible when teaching the materials in the classroom and always willing to go drive in-depth when I asked for additional help. I got mot

Exceptional teaching methods, breadth and depth of knowledge, as well as personable nature: these are ways I would describe our experience with Randy. He has been teaching my son high school 2+hours/week for a year. We started with high school math, IM1, but realized Randy’s commitment to education and his students, coupled with his breadth of collegiate level knowledge, offered us an opportunity to go beyond math. In addition, last term, Randy tutored my son in Chemistry as well as IM2. My son is doing extremely well. Part of Randy’s technique (and as a reflection of his personable nature) is the way he discusses a breadth of subjects with my son when they’re taking a break or communicating outside of tutoring session. (Yes, he makes himself available on a as needed basis and checks in with mental math challenges or important information.) Randy explores and engages in hobbies my son has and taylor’s incentives to those interests to encourage rigorous study. Randy also takes an interest in other subjects my son is studying. Randy discusses those subjects using his depth of knowledge in other fields like literature and music, and brings materials to my son to support and encourage his learning in those areas, even though he is not being paid to tutor in those areas. He is very knowledgeable and personable, and above all, committed to my son’s education. We greatly appreciate Randy, and feel fortunate to have him as our tutor.

Jennifer worked wonders both academically and motivationally to help my daughter for two years of her high school. Math concepts became understandable and homework and tests became manageable. And Jennifer helped in other subjects as well and also with overall organization, study habits and goal-setting. I highly recommend 'Inspired Students' for great results!

My son was failing in public school and when I took him home to homeschool him, I wasn't having much luck either. It's only with Miss Jeanie at Finding Strengths that my son was able to catch up with the rest of his peers. She not only got him to learn what he hadn't been able to, but she's taught him life skills that I didn't think he could learn. Things like time management and flexibility. Things he had trouble with because of his disabilities. He is succeeding so much more then I ever thought possible and it's all due to Miss Jeanie.
