I’m Kyle. I’ve been a professional journalist for a little over 10 years—mostly covering politics and culture for outlets like VICE, The Hollywood Reporter, and Inside Sacramento.

I went to UCLA for undergrad, studying English literature. In high school, I took AP English lit and language and got a 5 on both exams. But I don’t think I would’ve accomplished that without the right teachers and mentors. In fact, I doubt I would’ve made a career out of writing if it weren’t for them fostering my skills and teaching me lessons that really opened my eyes in a way you can’t replicate by memorizing textbooks and novels.
