About
I have tutored with the Sacramento County of Education as a CAL-SOAP tutor. I have tutored students mostly in Math. I provide individual learning experiences, help improve academic performance, and encourage self-paced and self-directed learning.
What gets me excited about going to work is the opportunity I get to help others. I'm motivated by my ability to be a positive influence that leads others to find success. I also love the creative aspect of what I do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first understand what the student needs help with. Then we set a goal of what the student and I will achieve together. Then we create a plan and start implementing the plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a college student and currently attend Sacramento State Univeristy as a Computer Science major. I have an Associate degree in Physical Science and Mathematics from American River College.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a base rate of $25 per hour for online tutoring or $25 per hour plus $2 per mile for in-person Mile is calculated from where I am located which is Sacramento, CA 95838.
For example, if I have a client in Natomas area is about 5.7 estimate, then I will charge $20 per hour plus $11.4 which will be $31.4 which we will round down to $31.
How did you get started teaching?
I was an AVID student starting 8th grade to 12th grade. In my AVID classes, we would have college tutors who would come in and help us out. When I graduated, my AVID teacher recommended me to become a college tutor; therefore, she recommended me to work with the Sacramento County of Education as a CAL-SOAP Tutor/Mentor
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all grade level students from K-12.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of helping people. I have realized that a lot of students are lacking the support they need to achieve success in school. I have also realized that students do not like the online learning and it unmotivates them so I want to help students make the best out what they have and do better in school.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice that I would give the students looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is to take a chance. Ask for the help you need and you will get it. Sometimes we are scared to ask but realize until you won't ask you won't know. Do your work and you will be one step closer to success.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do you want the teacher to do for you? If the teacher says yes, then are you willing to put in the effort? What do you want to accomplish? Where do you stand right now? How motivated are you to get started or to improve? How mych work are you willing to put in? Are your goals reachable?
