Hello Students!
My name is Megan, I'm a writer and and educator who has helped dozens of students to write more effective and organized essays and I can help you too! I have diverse experience in English, Social Science and Natural Science and currently hold an MA in Social Justice and a BA in Geography. I am currently working on an MS degree and educate my two kids at home. I have experience tutoring writers from elementary to college level. Give me a call- let's write better together!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student is unique and I prefer a flexible approach to tuoring. Text or call me and we can get together to talk. Then we can make a plan that best fits your needs and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently work as a freelance educator, editor and tutor . I have taught University level classes and currently homeschool my own children. I have experience working with students of diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $30/hour for tutoring and editing.
How did you get started teaching?
I was always the girl at the helping desk! I first taught professionally in graduate school. After my two kids were born I began editing and tutoring on a freelance basis. I continue to educate my kids at home and teach classes in history, art and natural science for other homeschoolers.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids in elementary middle and high school as well as college age students and professional adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm looking forward to a camping adventure in Oregon with my kids this year. We are avid rockhounds and love to scour the hills for cool minerals while we watch for wildlife and useful plants!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I'm a think as I talk kind of person, so it's ok with me if you don't quite know what you need yet. We can work together to figure that out!
