I taught English to 2nd year university sophomore students in China for 1.5 years after graduating with my Bachelors. I’ve also completed 2 semesters (10 credit hours each) of advanced Mandarin classes in China. I've passed the HSK 5 Mandarin proficiency exam and enjoy teaching others.

If Chinese is a complete new language for the student, I will proceed with a introduction about China as an old nation, its culture, its civilization, the number of Unesco world heritage sites (more than 1000), as well as its world renowned cuisine. I will also provide my students with the backdrop with the origin of Chinese characters- Jia Gu Wen (Oracle bone script). I hope my approach will give them fascination of learning the language.
