About this tutor

I have a bachelors degree from California Baptist University in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working towards my masters in special education. I was and am currently still an honor student

I get a pleasure from teaching students how to read and to turn it into a love of reading. Students should be able to read about what they enjoy and something they are familiar with. It helps them to acknowledge what is being read and to remember it.

I have recently become certified as a Google Educator.

I put everything I have into making sure that I am able to reach all of my students. I will put in the extra time and effort to make sure they succeed.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I will take time to get to know the student and their family. I want them to be comfortable with working with me.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a bachelors degree from California Baptist University and am currently working on my masters degree.
imI was a preschool teacher for one year.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$20 for 30 minutes or $30 for an hour.

How did you get started teaching?

When my son started kindergarten, I fell in love with being a part of the classroom. That was the first year I knew that my career would be in teaching.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with ages 2-8 and some with learning and behavioral disabilities.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I am looking forward to doing a trip to Belize to help teach those children how to read and to provide them with thousands of books.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I care for my students as much as I care for my own son. I want every student to be able to have success in academics and achieve their goals no matter what they are.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What steps will the tutor make to make sure the student reaches their goals?

Will the tutor do assessments to keep track of progress?

Will the tutor put in the same amount of time that they expect from the student?
