About
I can help students gain confidence when it comes to understanding the complexities of subject like history. Civics/American Goverbment, and Writing. My calm, conversational approach can provide students with a change of pace from traditional classrooms and online classes. I hope to inspire your student to cherish lifelong learning and seek answers when they observe the world around them. My background includes a BA in U.S. History, extensive travel to historic sites across several states and nations. I have also worked in broadcasting for 25 years -- witnessing history as it happens.
I enjoy helping students who feel overwhelmed with their subject matter gain confidence and develop greater skills. I hope my passion for lifelong learning helps your student become a stronger critical thinker and ask more questions about their world. Another passion is helping children and teens learn about history around them in their home, their neighborhood, and immediate world. As a longtime journalist, current events often open the door to examine the past and gain greater understand of the changes that have occurred over years, decades, and centuries.
