Sophia Ashworth

Hi, all!

I am a UC Berkeley graduate, with a B.A. in both Comparative Literature and Public Health. I have been remotely tutoring since the pandemic started in 2019 and have taught students ranging in age from 12-18 years old and in a variety of subjects (including college admissions help). I am particularly experienced tutoring in English literature and in mathematics up to Algebra II and Trigonometry. Further, with a strong background in biology and chemistry from my pre-med classes in university, I can also tutor in these subjects.

As a young adult, I am up-to-date and informed regarding the technologies and tools students have at their disposal to assist them in their work; my goal as a tutor and mentor is to teach and challenge students to thoughtfully augment their work without crippling their own capabilities.

I love getting to know my students and helping them improve according to their own learning preferences. My tutoring style is very flexible and attentive to each student's specific needs.
