About
Since I have been employed as an Instructional Aide I have realized that my passion is working with kids. I love being able to teach and guide the children to a successful future. I also really enjoy working with the children and have endless opportunities to do a wide variety of duties. I have listed what I have had the opportunity to do and learn while being at the school below. Working with children is my niche and I have even found that handling behavior and special needs, IEP, children is something I am proud of and it comes naturally to me.
During covid-19 I tutored several students so they did fall behind while they where not in school.
I have my Montessori aide certificate

I have worked with Sue barton reading program for students that are dyslexic
I have ran each classroom by myself including preschool
I did the after school program.
I have aided the guides in each classroom. Grades k-8

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to see what type of student they are. I would talk to parents, get their input, then try and figure out what kind of learner they are. I was a hands in kid so I understand what it's like to not understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my AA degree which also includes my psychology training. I have Montessori aide certificate and have been taught to handle students in IEPs.
How did you get started teaching?
I always wanted to be a teacher and when I learned about Montessori I was revamped ony dream. Now working in a school I now know making a difference in these children's lives in my niche. I want to change the next generation.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every kind of student. I have specialized in working one on one with IEP students, dyslexic students and students with behavior issues.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have recently gotten very close with a foster student and making him feel comfortable in a normal setting. He was very stand offish and hard to engage then when I began to work with his true colors began to come out.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I am hear for you and I am willing to work with the resources you need to begin your progression. You are smart and have all the potential to be your best self.
