Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To start my time with a new student, I give an assessment to gauge their starting place and what skills we can work on developing. I will also reach out to the student, parents, and teachers if possible to gather background on the student and their strengths and areas of growth. From there I build a plan for us to follow and cater lessons to the students' needs and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my bachelor's in education in 2018. I then received my master's in education in 2020 and am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in education.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rates start at $25/hr and may change dependent upon the focus and rigor of our sessions. This focus and rigor, as well as our frequency will be determined and discussed during our first session.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages of students and across a plethora of subjects. I have taught high school English Learners, 2nd graders, middle schoolers, 3rd graders, 6th graders, and even taught ages 4 to 55 on the ski slopes. I have teaching in my blood and am willing to work with all abilities and ages.
