I've specialized in reading tutoring for almost 8 years and began my career working for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes where I've worked as the Lead Consultant and Associate Center Director.

I have a Bachellor's Degree in Psychology, with a minor in English that has aided in developing an expertise in building foundations for reading and comprehension. I have many years of experience in motivational management and have advised many on providing instruction that will best serve students, build their confidence, and provide them with the reading skills they need to apply themselves in school and life.

I have worked with children as young as 5 up to 28 on both foundational reading skills, critical thinking application, and writing.

I've always loved what I do, largely because I have seen first hand how positively learning to read impacts someone's life. I truly believe everyone can learn to read with the right supports and that we all deserve this chance in life.

My ultimate goal for any student I work with is to help them build the necessary reading skills to reach a point where they do not need me anymore. While the timing of when they reach that milestone will be different for every student, and as much as I often miss them when they are done, the most powerful and important thing to me is that they gain independence with their reading skills and experience success from their hard work that they can be proud of.
