About
As a High School Upperclassmen at Del Norte High School, I have had a lot of experiences with the elementary school, middle school, and high school math classes, as well as the high school level chemistry classes that are offered. I have fresh experience from taking these classes and will be able to help any student achieve their goals, whether its an good grade or a good score on a test.
I also have a lot of experience on competition math: I am a 3 time AIME qualifier, a 3 time ARML attendee, and I placed #2 in Southern California for MathCounts in 2018
Qualifications:
- A's all three trimesters in AP Calculus AB, 5 on AP Test
- A's all three trimesters in AP Calculus BC, 5 on AP Test
- A's all three trimesters in AP Chemistry, 5 on AP Test
I enjoy helping students out especially in tough, challenging classes, because I know the feeling of frustration when you just can't understand a topic in tough classes, and it is the worst feeling in the world. I want to help others be able to succeed and achieve their goals

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first get to know them as a person, and I try to understand what their situation is, whether they are struggling in a class or just need that extra boost to get a better score on the test. I learn what their areas of weakness are, and I try to tackle those first.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have held math camps for middle schoolers before, so I have experience with teacher younger kids. I was also once in many of the same classes these kids are in, so I understand not only the material but what is important and essential to the class
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 for now, I am still figuring it out
How did you get started teaching?
I held a middle school math camp my freshman year of high school, and it did really well, and every summer since I've been holding the same camp.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly middle schoolers, a few elementary school kids
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was able to submit my first ever research paper to an MIT program called BeaverWorks. It felt great knowing that I had created it all by myself and that all my months of research would be presented to high level professors
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to find someone that has been through the struggle that you are in, and will know how to help you in the best way possible.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1 question comes to mind: Have I really tried my best to understand this subject?
