About
I feel that I am relatable and a relaxed person to be helpful as a tutor. I have had experience with very different age groups and I am dedicated to school myself. I can teach some of my own test taking strategies and class tips as well. For clarinet tutoring, I have been playing for 7 years and was a section leader at El Dorado HS.
I like how tutoring is a small step in helping another student succeed. I am able to build an academic and personal relationship with students and their family. I also like how it is more flexible than a work study or minimum wage job.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Talk about what school they are attending, grades and class interests. I will also introduce myself with similar info. I will communicate with the student and parents to see what is wanting to be gained from my help as well as set goals for the time working with them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored everything from 3rd grade English to middle school to college level trig and chemistry. I have taken advanced placement classes in math and science, including AP Calculus and AP chemistry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depends on the tutee and their family because I like to be flexible if there is financial hardship. $30 per hour in person. $25 an hour if online. If more than an hour at a time or more frequently throughout the week, the price agreed upon may be less.
