About
Hello! My name is Virginia Camarena, and I am excited for the opportunity to be your teacher. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree and recently completed my Master of Arts in Education, along with my California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Over the past several years, I have worked with students in kindergarten through fifth grade as a substitute teacher, which has given me the opportunity to teach many different subjects, classrooms, and learning styles.
Students often tell me that my classroom is a place where they feel respected, encouraged, and safe to ask questions. I believe every child is capable of learning and growing when they are challenged, supported, and celebrated for their effort. I set high expectations while creating a positive classroom environment where kindness, responsibility, and teamwork are just as important as academics.
When you work with me, you can expect lessons that are engaging, interactive, and meaningful. I enjoy using hands-on activities, educational technology, cooperative learning, games, and real-world connections to make learning fun and memorable. I also believe mistakes are an important part of learning, so I encourage students to take risks, think critically, and never be afraid to ask for help.
