Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first asses thier current understanding of Spanish and ask them where they would like to be in a few months. From there I begin by bettering thier reading and writing skills followed by thier speech. I help construct activities around things they find difficult in order for them to better understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a seal of biliteracy that I acquired in high school. I have tutored my peers in the past to perfect thier Spanish.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
my standard pricing is $15.00-$20.00 an hour. Or for projects and speeches $45.00
How did you get started teaching?
I noticed Spanish lacking in professional settings such as hospitals and decided this is something that should be fixed and I started tutoring so that everyone can get quality care knowing they understand what the people around them are doing and saying.
What types of students have you worked with?
mostly high school students but some adults
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was tutoring an elementary school boy and when he was finally able to have a full conversation with me he was so overjoyed because he was going to be able to talk with his grandma who only spoke Spanish. It was the best feeling ever being able to help a family grow closer.
