About
I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Education. I have extensive experience (almost 20 years) with all things math, including many years of classroom teaching experience, tutoring programs, online tutoring, etc...
Most recently, I have been tutoring students online with a high level of success in courses ranging from Pre-algebra to Calculus. I have worked with middle school students, high school students, and college students as well. Students have experienced improved test scores, better grades, and overall higher self confidence in math.
IMPORTANT: I mainly specialize in the following courses (I can help with others as well, so feel free to ask): Pre-algebra, Algebra, Algebra 2, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry. If you need help in any of those courses, you're definitely in the right place!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first try to assess where a student stands in terms of their level of understanding. I ask them what makes sense, what doesn't, and we take it from there. That allows me to create an effective plan of action to help the student learn and grasp the concepts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 20 years experience both tutoring and teaching mathematics ranging from Pre-algebra to University level mathematics.
Specific math levels include:
* Middle school math
* Pre-Algebra
* Algebra 1
* Geometry Plane & Geometry Plane & Solid
* Algebra 2 (College Prep & Honors)
* Pre-Calculus (College Prep & Honors)
* Math 1, Math 2, Math 3
* College Algebra, Intermediate Algebra
* College Algebra with Trigonometry
* Calculus (Differential Calc, Integral Calc)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
* Prices vary depending on the course. You will receive a quote in our correspondence.
* The free 1 hr session is available to any student (no commitment or obligation).
How did you get started teaching?
My first "teaching" experiences were in high school. I tutored classmates and it was a very rewarding experience. I've had the "math bug" ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
Students from middle school to university students, including ESL students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please make it clear which math class or type of math it is that you need help with. This information is extremely helpful. Thank you.
"Don't practice until you get it right. Practice until you can't get it wrong."
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I highly recommend that the student attempt the problems or excercises before they get the tutoring. This is very helpful when trying to see what students need help with specifically. If we need to start from scratch, that's ok too! :)
