I am a credentialed bilingual teacher (English Spanish) and I have taught elementary age students for 12 years.

I work with struggling reader and will move them up at least a grade level within a short period time. I enjoy working with young students and love to motivate them to become independent readers.

I am passionate about teaching young children I thrive on their success. Every child can achieve mastery eventhough some children need to work at a different pace, capitalizing on strengths and filling in deficiencies.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I assess my student and find out his/her strength and weakness in the subject or subjects. Taking into account the grade of the student, I formulate a plan to achieve mastery in the subject matter. I will assess regularly and monitor progress closely.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a valid California Multiple Subject Bilingual Teaching Credential.

I have worked with struggling readers and my strategies, tools and 12 years teaching experience have proven to be successful in improving test scores and reading mastery.
