USMLE/COMLEX Step 1/2 Personalized Tutoring
About
I was a teacher on the West Coast before medical school, and I'm passionate about helping students succeed. My USMLE Step 1/2 scores were 250+ and 260+ respectively. My COMLEX Level 1/2 scores were 640+ and 650+ respectively.
Just by teaching the strategy for Step 2, I have helped students raise their exam scores by 10+ points. I tutored a student who had previously failed Level 1 twice; with my tutoring assistance, he passed with a margin to spare.
About my tutoring:
1. The 1 on 1 tutoring will be individualized. You can ask questions, walkthrough answering questions, set up a study plan, and practice strategies for how to take a multiple-choice exam.
2. I wrote a few pages on multiple-choice strategy that I walk through with every student to hone their test-taking ability.
3. My tutoring will only cost $60 per hour.
4. I will be honest about my results and ability to help you. I can realistically raise someone's score by 10-15 points on the USMLE with strategy alone. There are three portions to a high score: in-depth knowledge, high yield review, and multiple-choice strategy. The scores are largely determined by the student's hard work after receiving mentoring through high yield review and tutoring in multiple-choice USMLE strategy.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my tutoring, and I look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Christopher McNiel

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $60 per hour for private tutoring. If you buy 5 hours of tutoring you get an hour for free because I like to follow up with my students. We will also add an extra 10 minutes to the first lesson for free to talk about your career goals and study objectives.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked as a math and science tutor for Concordia University during my undergraduate education. After graduation, I worked as a substitute teacher for high schools teaching chemistry and biology. Now I tutor medical students for the USMLE and COMLEX.
