Jessica Hurst

Currently a graduate student at UC Irvine's School of Medicine, I was a 6th grade multisubject teacher for 2+ years. I attended my undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley and am one of many experienced teachers in my family. All K-6 content standards are relevant to my current level of experience and I have worked with many ages and levels of content and English language understanding. I'm particularly experienced in teaching math at any level and find joy in those "aha" moments when a concept finally clicks for a student. I have access to many of my resources from my years of teaching, and am happy to provide updates on goals and progress reports to parents, as well as being open to feedback.
