I have been tutoring students in Mathematics for over two years. I am currently a math resource specialist at a high school. I provide extra supports to students with mild/moderate learning difficulties within their general education classroom. I am able to take the content and explain it in various ways. I have a passion for math and want to help others find ways in which to understand it themselves.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently work at a high school and work with students in Integrated Math 1, 2, and 3. In college, I took 5 additional math classes: Calculus 1/2, multivariable calculus, discrete math, and statistics.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always had a passion for education. In my junior year of college I was introduced to Teach for America. I ended up signing up and was accepted into the program. I am now finishing up my first year of teaching math and am getting my master's in special education.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students at various intellectual levels. I have worked primarily with students in a low-income area at the high school level. I have worked with students with mild/moderate learning difficulties. (AUT, SLD, OHI, etc...)
