I am a recent graduate from UC Berkeley and majored in Molecular & Cell Biology. Currently I am a medical student at California Northstate University. I have successfully tutored students for the past 8 years. I have worked with students in all age groups (elementary, middle, high school, and college students). In addition to my extensive tutoring experience I have also worked as a teaching assistant for an introductory biology weeder course (Bio 1A) during my time at UC Berkeley. I typically approach tutoring by teaching concepts to students by asking them questions so they are able to connect the dots themselves. I also tend to provide quick and easy to understand hints or if students are still stuck after I provide them with some clues as to how to solve a given problem, I will solve similar problems so students can see how to approach the problem they are stuck on. This way the next time students see a similar problem on an exam they will be able to successfully answer the question. My end goal as a tutor is to ensure students are learning concepts about how to solve different types of problems so they can succeed in school and develop a genuine interest in the subjects they are learning.
