About
I have 4 years of math and physics tutoring experience, as well as 3 years experience working with students with learning disabilities. I am also a certified ski and snowboard instructor and have had extensive trainings and classes for how to teach and talk to young children. I have a passion for teaching and would love to help your student learn to love math.
I have always loved teaching and helping others get that lightbulb moment where they finally understand a difficult subject. Wether I'm teaching a student math, physics, skiing, or snowboarding, I'm happiest when I'm teaching and helping a child to learn to love my favorite subjects as I do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I get a new client I like to get to know them and how they learn. I typically spend the first lesson going over whatever they think they need help in, wether it's studying for a test, reviewing their last test, or helping them with their homework. Diving right in allows me to see what they are working on, and what they are struggling in, and help me make sure they aren't falling farther behind in their class. From there I will go back and provide extra support in the topics where their fundamentals seem to be lacking or rusty from summer break.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified ski instructor and have gone through extensive training on teaching all ages but particularly children. I was the TA for the special ed. math course at my high school and worked alongside the teacher to develope custom lesson plans for each student to learn at their own pace and had to adapt my lessons for each student to fit their particular learning style. I also worked for UCP for 1 year and have volunteered there for 2 where I recieved more training and experience working with students with learning disabilities.
