What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually start with an interview with the client to know what are his/her expectations and needs. Based on the information that I received I explain the client how I am going to work and prepare the plan and sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Spanish speaker teacher working for more than 20 years of experience. I have a masters degree in Learning Problems which allows me to better understand my students and help them.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching because of my love for teaching, I studied in Peru, my country.
What types of students have you worked with?
Since I am a teacher and I have a masters degree I have worked with different types of students, in regular classes from elementary, middle and high school and 1:1 , I also have worked with students with special needs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best advice I would give to a student who wants to learn any language would be to hire a teacher whose native language is the one that they want to learn. This is because the pronunciation and real meaning of words are often difficult to teach or understand if it is not your native language.
