Russian School Of Mathematics - RSM South Orange County
About
Part of the RSM network founded in 1997, Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) – South Orange County in Mission Viejo, CA delivers a structured K–12 after-school math enrichment program. The campus offers multiple course levels for every grade, a selective math competitions track, and a six‑week summer program with two classes per week.
RSM’s continuous K–12 curriculum is inspired by elite mathematics schools of the former Soviet Union and adapted to the U.S. educational environment. Classes are taught by instructors with backgrounds in mathematics or related fields who receive specialized training in RSM’s methodology. Class length ranges from about 1.5 hours in kindergarten to 2–4 hours in high school, and homework typically takes about half the class time to complete. Families can schedule a free evaluation for placement.
Students across RSM consistently earn strong results in school and in competitions such as AMC 8 and the Harvard–MIT Math Tournament, and alumni attend leading universities. Campus leadership includes Principal Eleonora Zurnajyan, M.S. in Informatics and Applied Mathematics and M.S. in Economics, and Regional Director Olga Voronel, Biological & Biomedical Sciences, UC Irvine. Tuition information is provided by grade upon request.
