I feel that my service stands out due to my diverse accomplishments in high school, including earning a teaching degree in yoga, publishing a novel, and earning the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for having 1600+ community service hours! Furthermore, I have maintained a 4.3 GPA out of a 4.0 scale, and taken a number of advances classes in Physics, Calculus, and English, to name a few, which I believe allows me to have a strong understanding of the various subjects that I teach.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The typical process that I have for working with a new student, is forming an initial connection, so that I am able to appropriately address the concerns and strengths of each individual. I also understand that amidst a hectic schedule that most students and parents have, I like to be as flexible as possible in my scheduling. I like to assess the student's strengths and weaknesses, and come up with an academic plan that allows the student to effectively learn maximize the potential.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The education and training that I have which relates to my work, is that in high school, I engaged in a variety of challenging classes including AP Physics I and II, AP Calculus AB, Honors Chemistry, and Honors English, to name a few. I plan to attend UC Santa Cruz this coming fall, majoring in Computer Science and Business, with a minor in English.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge between $15 and $30 per hour, and up to $45 for more advanced subjects, such as college-level calculus. I am open to negotiating prices and providing discounts!
How did you get started teaching?
I got started in teaching in seventh grade, where I began tutoring a special-need student who was in elementary school. From then on, I have increased my experience to include tutoring tens of students ranging from kindergarten through the ninth grade. The subjects that I find myself most passionate about include English, Science, Mathematics, Psychology, and providing homework help or test preparation, but I am open to teaching other classes as well!
