I have 4+ years of experience with kids from 4th grade to high school. My experiences include:
- Individual tutoring
- Tutoring for an after school program
- Leading science workshops for middle schoolers
- Teaching assistant in summer science program for high school students
My objective as a tutor is to first understand the student’s best learning style and assess the areas of improvement. I strongly believe in helping students understand the value of their own learning and critical thinking skills and helping them gain the confidence to tackle academic their challenges.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
School can be such a fun time, but stress and anxiety over difficult subjects can really leave a negative filter. I want to help you feel confident by making sure we understand your learning style and build good habits that work well for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with two majors from Smith College, General Engineering Science and German Studies. Studied abroad for a year in Germany and even took some of my math and science classes in German. After graduating, I decided I wasn't done and continued on through higher ed with a Masters in Civil Engineering.
