I wasn't always a professional in my field. When studying, I faced hard times which help me understand the needs of others. Since I have been in your shoes, needing tutoring, I am much more capable of understanding your personal needs. Besides that I am very passionate about programming and web developement. I can talk about it for hours and hours without getting bored and usually without boring others. Loving programming is 1 thing, but being able to pass that love to others is whole different thing. After learning and perfecting the first, I am now perfecting the second.
The thing I love most about programming is the creation of something out of nothing. Being able to build something from the ground up in very little time and iterate over and over until it becomes better and better. Seeing people use what you have built and seeing it benifit their daily lives brings so much fullfilment and joy.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start with letting the student explain what they struggle with. I listen deeply and understand your problem. I will then ask some questions to get a more thorough understanding of where you would like to be after the tutoring session. I make sure I know and understand your expectations and your background. Afterwards, I try to solve a problem together. If it is too complex or you are struggling I will help you. However, I will try to let you do as much as possible. I don't want to solve every exercise and leave you hanging. That way you don't learn anything. Especially with programming. It is really about doing and applying knowledge in this field, so that is what I focus on when tutoring students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Graduated summa cum laude. During my time at the university I was always looking out for my fellow students. Sharig solutions and thinking methods, helping them pass as well. I always believed in team work, even when the school told us to work individually. I just can't stand someone failing without guidance. After uni I have been working as a freelance software engineer, where I have also been focussing on sharing my knowledge and experience.
