Math And Computer Science Tutoring
About
I've been tutoring now for about four years total. I'm a Computer Science graduate from a California State University, so I have very recent experience with the Math and Computer Science subject material. I also have experience working for a private tutoring company as part of the No Child Left Behind Program, which partnered with schools in the LAUSD district in California.
The best thing about tutoring I feel is the chance to share with others what you've learned. I worked very hard to excel in my courses, but once I finished a class it often felt like a lot the experience I gained no longer had use. Tutoring makes me feel like I'm really putting my knowledge to good use.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first and most important thing is for both the student and I to feel comfortable with each other. The last thing I want is to put additional pressure on my students, so I always tell them that if they don't understand or are confused about something to not be embarrased and let me know right away. Likewise, I'm always honest and upfront with my students if I make any mistakes, so I hope that trust will go both ways.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Computer Science major, so I'm well versed in several Computer Science and Math subjects. I have previous experience in tutoring both of these subjects, as I've been tutoring now for a total of about four years in both one-on-one and group settings.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally I charge between $20 and $30 per hour, depending on the difficulty of the subject.
