Elaine Chinese Tutoring
About
Hello everyone! My name is Elaine Huang.
With CTCSOL Certification and TESOL Expert Certification
I've been teaching Chinese(including Mandarin and Cantonese) and English for over four years.
With my perfect Mandarin/Cantonese and Efficient Grammar skills, most of my students could make simple conversations after several months of learning.
My students are from England, America, Japan, Sri Lanka, Belgium, Hongkong and so on.
I would like to teach my students Language and Chinese traditional culture also, like Chinese Calligraphy, poems, history of Chinese characters.
*The feedback from my students is: I’m patient, prepare well for each class, making the class interesting and relaxed through playing games.
*As a teacher I also need to learn more and more to improve myself, I’m also learning Positive Psychology and Growth mindset which are very helpful in education no matter kids or adults.
My teaching style===
First, different students from different countries/ages/occupations, have different learning styles. So Individualized teaching is very important.
Second, the relaxed atmosphere of the class is important. Like teaching through games/situational dialogue/photos/video etc.
At Last, to learn a second language, listening and speaking more is the most important, practical and lively practice will make you speak in Chinese in my class.
