About

Learning how to draw can be a challenge. It seems no matter how much we try, there is always a sense that we are missing something. Empty gaps in our knowledge. We may spend days looking for the answers with no real guidance. As someone who has gone through the same thing it is only fair to help others. Every artist has skills they are weak at but are'nt really aware of it. Every Artist struggles with finding a road map on what to learn next or what they should be learning. These blind spots can be solved by a tutor, which can save you valuable time. I have helped others in ways no one else had and Im confident I could help you too. Drawing isn't all about burying yourself in a piece of paper but instead it's about experiencing life itself. The more you learn about the world, the richer the soil for ideas to grow. Although I'm currently going through the same journy (it never ends) we can help eachother with this as well. To see my work here is a link to my Instagram.

The work will be in my highlights.

Drawing isn't about creating pretty pictures, it's about having an experience. To be full of curiosity and awe at your subject matter. This has always resulted in some of the most greatest art ever given. If you are looking for pretty art, use AI. It's much cheaper and easier. But for those of us with a passion to draw, let us do so in a way no robot can. Art made by a human's experience to the eternal moment. It is our experience while drawing that matters.

    Frequently asked questions

The Typical tutoring process revolves around feedback. Information is useless without feedback. Good feedback is pointing out the weaknesses in a person's skill and create creative exercises to work upon them.

When it comes to teaching drawing, there are two parts to it.

First is knowing the process behind drawing. How the eye, brain and hand work together to perform the act of drawing. This eliminates the myth that some people can't draw. Those that can draw consciously or unconsciously follow this process.

Second is knowing the Fundamentals of drawing. What are the skills involved in order to become a draftsman. And in what order and how to think about them. This is where skills like figure drawing and perspective comes in.

think of it like learning how to use a guitar before diving into music theory. Learning how to use a guitar and learning music theory will pretty much happen at the same time but they can still be taught separately.

    Specific topic examples:

Measuring shapes, Perspective, assigning values, gesture, form, shape design, shading in graphite, Cpoic and conte, and general research from my library of art books.

Currently no painting or help in digital programs. Pure drawing and paper. But you can still use an IPad or tablet if you want.

Before taking any tutoring, you must be void of ego that is inevitably there when taking criticism. Ask yourself, what are my weaknesses? What are the gaps in my knowledge? What is something I think is true but may be completely wrong when it comes to drawing? You must be brutally honest with yourself if you want to see any real improvements.

Think of it like working out. You are doing zero progress if there is no pain involved. Like an athlete, find pleasure in this.
