Growing up with both parents as teachers, I've always known education was where I'm headed. I started working as a tutor in high school and have worked with students since. I have completed a BA in Art History, a BFA in Drawing/Painting, and am TEFL and CBEST certified. My goal is to become an English teacher abroad, teaching through art. Working with students has always been my passion and seeing my clients learn and understand new concepts and skills is what keeps me driven.

I first connect with the student's specific struggles and find the root of them: when and where in the material their confusion began. This helps find a jumping off point. I pose questions to help students view topics in different ways, because I believe that assisting a student in assembling their own idea and wording of a concept is longer lasting and more impactful than dictation.
I have worked in various elementary schools giving both English/language arts help, all the way to explosive science demonstrations. I also worked in an orphanage based in Mexico, a group home for "at-risk" student scholars, and as a teaching assistant at both high school and college levels.
I try to keep my pricing competitive with the market and understand that we are living in unprecedented times of online learning. My base rate is $50/hr for online (zoom, Skype, or FaceTime) and $75/hr for in person tutoring.
