Tutoring for all ages in language, literature, history, introduction to coding, research skills, and introduction to software use including school portals and web-based curricula.
I thrive on empowering learners to develop their potentials using practical skills. This includes building self-confidence, identifying goals, developing a plan to track successes and identifying the best, individualized learning strategy.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer to have an initial no-cost meeting. At that meeting, I am assessing:
*the needs and expectations of the learner (and family),
*the support system/environment of the learner and
*how motivated the learner is in achieving results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a Louisiana Secondary English Teaching Credential in 2005.
I am currently credentialed in the state of California.
I have 5 years of experience facilitating adult training as well as tutoring adults in professional and academic writing.

$40 to $60 per hour for children
$50 to $75 per hour for college students with a valid student ID
$60 to $100 per hour professional and executive coaching in business writing, communication, and presentation skills
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring while in high school and college. Shortly after college, I entered Teach for America and began as a middle school English and ESL Instructor in South Central Los Angeles.
I later transitioned to facilitating professional development and coaching for teachers and parents.
For the past 3 years, I have conducted professional development for mid-level managers and frontline employees for agencies across the United States.
