What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Do a Zoom session to see what the student needs are.

I'm a psychology major in college so research for writing essays and statistics are my best strengths.

I charge 20-25 per session on average depending on the difficulty of the assignment that the student needs help on.
How did you get started teaching?
I started by tutoring 5th grade students through Americorps in Stockton, CA as community service.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mostly worked with students K-6th grade in math and K-9 grade in reading and writing.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say to ask the teacher if they can help with a particular assignment and start from there to see if the teacher is compatible to help or not.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask questions like: "How can I get the best out of the session?" or "What skills do I need to improve on?"
