Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically during our first meeting, I like to determine where a student's strengths and weaknesses lie. I want to get to know the student's current study habits and base level of knowledge. I also like to have the stuent bring their past and current homework assignments.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara (ABET accredited program). While in attendance, I tutored general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. I also volunteered with a program called "SciTrek" to reach out to local schools and teach students how to design and run experiments.
I am an incoming biomedical engineering PhD student at Brown University.
In high school I took the following AP/Honors classes:
1. AP Biology
2. AP U.S. History
3. AP Calculus AB
