I am a former public school teacher with 17 years experience. I taught high school English for 9 years, followed by middle school English for 8. I had to leave the classroom due to health reasons (and not being able to teach in ways that I thought were appropriate for my students). But I miss connecting with students and helping them improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills in unique and interesting ways.
