I have over twenty-five years of teaching experience in the private school sector and eleven years of tutoring experience. I thoroughly enjoy teaching students in the elementary grades and specialize in the language arts, especially reading, using phonics to insure success with all types of learners. I have been very successful with students with different needs and abilities and customize instruction to fit the need of each student. I also teach math, composition, grammar, cursive, and spelling.
I find it very rewarding to take students at their current level of skill and knowledge and watch their progression and the joy that follows as we work together in their area(s) of need. Each student is unique, and I enjoy adapting to the student's learning style to achieve success.
