Shreya Kollipara

Hi, I'm Shreya! I have been writing my entire life and am here to help -- from publishing articles about my middle school in the biggest Indian newspaper, to writing investigative journalistic pieces for a college magazine, to having my class papers be officially published in an academic journal -- I have written and edited at a variety of levels. Working as the editor-in-chief for a political journal at UCLA, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude, as well as my own passion for writing has helped me hone the skill to deliver a perfect essay. From my experience of tutoring younger students in collaborative settings, I have learnt that anybody can be a good writer -- it just takes the right tools, proper guidance, and lots of practice. As an international student, I witnessed many peers struggle with writing, preoccupied with other subjects; unfortunately, no amount of expertise in a discipline is useful if that expertise cannot be communicated. High school is a great time to hone this skill given the weightage of college admissions essays, test components such as SAT writing, and for later on in one's academic career since it is a highly transferrable and useful strength. As a Global Studies graduate from UCLA, my knowledge is also easily applicable to History/Political science classes and assignments, which I am happy to help with.
