I am an 8th Grade Science & AVID teacher with a Masters in the Art of Teaching and credentials in Biology and Chemistry. Along with tutoring for the content in the subject matters I offer, I am also always willing to help with your studying and organizational skills. Time management, effective studying, and tight organization are all very important factors of academic success!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When working with a new student, I first want to assess their strengths and prior knowledge to better be able to understand the approach I as a personalized tutor should make. After familiarizing myself with the student's academic needs and curriculum, we can begin the process of coursework completion and practice.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I currently hold a Masters in the Art of Teaching and credentials in Biology and Chemistry. I spent a year teaching biology and environmental science at the high school level, and have been teaching 8th Grade Integrated Science for 3 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My standard pricing for lessons is $50 an hour. This includes my aid in the creation of worksheets, completing classwork with a student, and my guidance in hard skills such as organization, studying, and time management.

How did you get started teaching?

I began student teaching during 2020 when it was a hybrid model classroom in Tustin. Through this unique experience, I had to get crafty with both physical and digital methods of reaching students.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students of all kinds of backgrounds. I have experience modifying curriculum and adjusting to meet the needs of students of all types of abilities and IEPs. I also have experience working with English Language Learners, utilizing tools and translations to allow students better access to the content.
