I love being able to help students succeed in their school. I remember struggling when I was younger and how relieved I felt whenever a tutor explained a subject to me calmly and concisely. Which is exactly the reason I like being a tutor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to get to know the student and form a bond with them so that they can be at ease with me, in order to make my job easie This also helps them get in the right mindset for mathematics.
secondly, I help them through the first few questions, in order to get warmed up.
thirdly, we tackle the harder questions and I let them solve the problem alone as best they can. If they need help then I assist them, but I keep it minimal so that they can wrestle with the problem, which is how they learn how to solve future problems.
finally, I let them walk me through their steps to strengthen and polish what they have learned.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a top student in my classroom my senior year of high school in ore calculus. I have also tutored for free in the past and my most recent pupil said that their teacher was so impressed that she wanted to move him up a math level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My prices rely more on the time spent with the student but it is fairly flexible and ranges from 30-45 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I was asked in my church if I could tutor one of the kinds (a 16 year old boy) and he came back a week later saying that his test scores had gotten so good that his teacher wanted to bring him up a math level.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am currently enrolled in MMA classes and I love every second of it. Especially doing jiu jitsu.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to not judge a book by its cover. Anybody can be a good teacher but it depends allot on the students willingness to learn. I also suggest talking to the tutor and getting to know them right off the bat so that the time is spent on learning and avoiding awkwardness.

Ask yourself these questions: why am I asking these questions? Do u want an actual answer or a response ?
