About
I work with students in numerous courses of mathematics and styles of piano instruction, tailoring my work to each student's level, class, and needs. My Bachelor's degree as a double major in Mathematics and Music along with my experience in competitive piano performance and in private instruction of math and music allow me to understand the individual situation of each one of my students and still grasp the context of their subjects' higher levels.
I greatly enjoy helping students gain knowledge, skill, and comfort in mathematics and music. Even though I love math and music themselves, the primary satisfaction of tutoring is in the improvement and overcoming of challenges of each student.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For each of my students, whether in math or music, I first assess the situation and goals of the individual, and then tailor my instruction accordingly. I endeavor to give each student the best instruction and assistance for their particular path and challenges.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Loyola Marymount University in Mathematics and in Piano Performance. I competed in classical piano, winning prizes in several competitions such as the Southern California Junior Bach Festival and the Alice Kitchen Scholarship Competition, and I have taught piano performance to children and adults in various styles, incorporating classical training, improvisation, and ear training. While an undergraduate at LMU, I was employed in tutoring Mathematics (Calc I, II, III, and more) and Music Theory (all levels) by the respective Math and Music departments of LMU.
