Yujin is currently pursuing a B.Sc in Environmental Sciences at Duke University on a Karsh International Scholarship US. She has been maintaining a CGPA score of 3.97 out of 4.0 and and received two Dean’s List Award with Distinction (Awarded to the Top 10% of students). For the IB Diploma Programme, she achieved the highest grade (Grade 7) for all subjects taken including HL Biology, Chemistry, Economics and SL English A: Language & Literature. She also graduated from Seoul Foreign School at the top of her grade and had the honor of delivering the valedictory at her graduation ceremony.
At present, she is a student researcher at the Kathleen Donohue Lab (Biology) at Duke, tasked with data collecting and population surveying. She has prior experience as a lab assistant at the Molecular microbiology lab and was a research intern for the Wolves & Moose of Isle Royale Project.
Yujin has been tutoring for the past two years in IB Biology, Chemistry, Economics and English language & literature. She was a student instructor for the Climate Justice & Global Intersectionality House Course at Duke where she was involved in developing the syllabus for the course and assessing students' papers.
