About
I have 13 years of classroom teaching experience, working with students in grade 7-12. In addition, I have a B.A. in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Teaching and science are my passions and making science relatable, fun, and applicable to real life is the approach I take to helping students learn and understand concepts.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I start with determining where a student is at, finding out what the student understand, what they struggle with, what the like, what they don't like. In addition, I try to determine how the student prefers to receive information (e.g. visually). This helps me frame the way present information to the student and adds to the level of personalization that can be provided.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Again, I have over 13 yrs of teaching experience in Independent schools. I have taught general science, Microbiology, Forensics, Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, as well as experience as a Science Department Chair and Dean of Students.
