Kristina has been the most outstanding tutor I’ve ever had. She is consistently supportive, highly knowledgeable, and has a remarkable ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable way. Math has always been a challenging subject for me, but with her expert guidance, I was able to improve my understanding significantly and raise my grade from a C to an A. an achievement I once thought was out of reach. Kristina not only helped me succeed academically but also made learning math an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

My two daughters absolutely loved working with Kristina in their high school Pre-Calc, Calc, Biology and Chemistry classes. Kristina explains concepts in a way that is understandable and she is so personable and accommdating as far as scheduling of sessions. My one daughter had her friends join a group session with Kristina, and after that, they all started using her as their tutor. My college bound daughter, who will be a Biology major, will likely use Kristina for tutoring in her college chemistry classes.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Kristina as a tutor for our son for the last two years and we truly couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Kristian brings a remarkable level of expertise in AP-level high school courses. Her depth of knowledge and ability to break down complex concepts has made a world of difference in Leo’s academic confidence and performance.
What sets Kristina apart even more is her incredible patience and understanding when working with teenagers. She creates a supportive and motivating environment that meets students where they are, while still gently pushing them to reach their potential.
Kristina is also wonderfully flexible with her scheduling. She’s always been accommodating of our familys needs, and her willingness to adjust sessions as needed has made the tutoring process stress-free and seamless.
Equally important is her communication style. As parents, we’ve felt consistently informed and engaged thanks to her thoughtful updates and insights. She strikes the perfect balance of involving us without overwhelming us, making sure we’re part of the journey every step of the way.
We wholeheartedly recommend her to any family seeking expert academic support with a personal touch. She has truly been an invaluable partner in Leo’s educational journey.

Finding Kristina was a blessing. My daughter was tutored all junior year in several subjects, and the results are great. Her support helped her gain confidence, improving test results, grades and overall outlook on school. Cant ask for a better, sweeter or more considerate tutor.

Kristina is an amazing tutor! She’s super kind and very smart. She helped me in two of my classes last year those being physics and math which are tough subjects for lots of students and she’ll most likely be helping me next year too. Within a 30 minute session with her she taught me more than my actual math teacher could in an hour and 30 and worked at my pace so I could really understand it. She even offers extra practice questions if we have left over time that really help! Overall she’s a truly amazing tutor and i’m so grateful for her help in my academic journey!

Your Way Tutors is the best!! Kristina has tutored my son through two classes in such a supportive and positive way. She truly has a gift for figuring out what my son is not understanding and guiding him to understanding. My son has the great grade results to prove it. We have done in-person and Zoom sessions. Gracious and upbeat, intuitive and knows the subject matter inside and out. Highly, highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions

I am offering free consultations (in-person or online) for new students, so that we can get to know each other and decide if it is the right fit before making any commitments. I will determine the learning style of the student and adjust my teaching methods accordingly. In many cases I will provide multiple problem solving pathways (particularly useful in the case of mathematics) and allow the student to chose what works best for them. Learn it your way with Your Way Tutors!

Bio: Columbia University, 2012, major in Earth and Environmental Engineering, graduated Magna Cum Laude; Member of Tau Beta Pi, Engineering Honor Society; King’s Crown Leadership Award 2010-12; 750 on Chemistry SAT II, Score of 5 on AP exams in U.S History, Chemistry, and BC Calculus.

Kristina’s passion for education was already in evidence when she was a student at North Shore High School in Glen Head, NY.  She tutored her peers in Earth Science, Chemistry, and Algebra, working in conjunction with the National Honor Society—a national organization dedicated to honoring and promoting student academic excellence and service—to help them achieve academic success.  She excelled in her own academic studies at North Shore, graduating third in her class.

At Columbia, Kristina continued to hone her advanced math and science skills as part of her rigorous engineering training and while tutoring Columbia students in Math and Engineering.  Her research and demanding coursework provided invaluable experience in collaboration, organization, and innovative thinking.  Adding to her tough academic and tutoring schedule, Kristina joined an a cappella group and served as President of the Columbia University Food Sustainability Project, which helped her become an expert in working efficiently and effectively, managing time for herself and her students.

Kristina connects to her students by conveying advanced subject matter in simple, straightforward terms.  She works hard to both identify and address gaps in her students’ comprehension.  Her subject areas of expertise include Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, History, English, Environmental Science, and Statistics. She is also trained and experienced in helping students prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and GRE.

While she has a strong work ethic, she is also a fun-loving person and hopes to exude this attitude in all her tutoring lessons. A bit of an over-achiever, Kristina doesn’t have much downtime. But when she does, she can be found gardening, practicing yoga, or cooking with friends.
