Basic Math And English Tutoring :)
About
As a young tutor, I am able to connect with students more. I am currently still a student, so subjects that I am comfortable tutoring (elementary level all subjects, music theory, essay writing, basic English and math, algebra 1, study skills) are fresh in my mind. I also understand the struggle of finding time to work on something you are having trouble with, so I will happily work around your schedule.
I know the struggle of “not getting” what the teacher is saying or teaching. I love being able to see the moment where things “click” for the student. It makes me happy to see people succeed.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I need to see where the student is at. I have them tell me what they are going over in class and see where they are at by having them do a few problems on their own. What happens next is based purely off of how much help they need and how often they want to meet. I like to listen to what the student’s goals are and in what time they want to accomplish them. Pacing is different for each student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently work as a student tutor at University High School.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My hourly rate is $15/hour, but sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on what the student wants. My hourly rate is also negotiable.
