I love working with elementary school students and bringing joy and happiness to my students and their parents by giving them hope! While tutoring, I am able to instill confidence while simultaneously promoting a fun learning environment, and that makes learning all the more worthwhile!
I have 3+ years of experience tutoring elementary school students in math and 7 of those months were spent tutoring elementary school students in math, reading, and writing at The Tutoring Center in Mountain View, CA.
I was a Substitute Teacher for New Haven Unified School District for 3 years, and I have a great deal of experience working 1-on-1 with students as well.

I enjoy seeing the "Ah-Ha" moments when the students understand a concept that has been troubling them for an extended period of time. I love making kids smile with humor and developing a positive and trusting relationship with each student.

Today, one of my tutoring students hugged me, stating that since I started working with her, her grade raised from a D to a B+. I also improved another tutoring student's math grade by approximately 50%.
