About
I am a full-time English teacher who has taught eighth, ninth, and 10th grade for the past 10 years. I love watching students feel success in their ability to think critically about the sources they consume and to communicate their thoughts effectively. I also have a lot of experience supporting students with executive functioning, such as managing deadlines, setting smaller manageable goals, and overcoming overwhelm and anxiety about writing. I used to be an executive functioning tutor and loved it!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically do a 10-15 minute consult with the parent/guardian and the student so we can discuss goals and schedules.

I have over ten years of experience teaching English and one year supporting students with executive functioning.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Most recently, I have loved watching my toddler develop a love of "reading". Watching her run to her shelf to pick a book all on her own and then talking about what she sees and remembers is so beautiful!
